MATTAPOISETT SCHOOL DISTRICT 

The Mattapoisett School Committee met on April 30, 2024 and voted to participate in the School Choice Program for the 2024-2025 school year. The School Committee voted to maintain the maximum number of school choice slots of fourteen (14) students with preference given to grades 1st through 3rd. A blind lottery was held on May 7, 2024. A waitlist was formed. 

OLD ROCHESTER REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT 

The Old Rochester Regional School Committee met on April 11, 2024 and voted to participate in the School Choice Program for the 2024-2025 school year. The School Committee voted to maintain the maximum number of school choice slots of one hundred and twenty-five (125) students in grades 7^th through 12^th for the 2024-2025 school year, capping 7^th grade at 12 (twelve) new school choice students, capping 8^th grade at 13 (thirteen) new school choice students and capping 9^th grade at 10 (ten) new school choice students.  The blind lottery was held April 23, 2024. A waitlist was formed. A second school choice lottery was held on Tuesday, September 17th for all applications received after April 23rd in grades 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12. Grade 9 is full. 

Rochester School District (grades K-6) and Marion School District (grades K-6) elected not to participate in school choice for the 24-25 school year. 

MATTAPOISETT PUBLIC SCHOOLS

The Mattapoisett School Committee held a School Choice Public Hearing on April 13, 2023 and voted to participate in the School Choice Program for the 2023-2024 school year.  The School Committee voted to increase the maximum number of school choice slots to fourteen (14), with preference given to Kindergarten and first grade. A lottery was held on Wednesday, May 10th at 1:00 p.m. at Center School. Applications may still be submitted.

OLD ROCHESTER REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT 

The Old Rochester Regional School Committee met on March 15, 2023 and voted to participate in the School Choice Program for the 2023-2024 school year. The School Committee voted to maintain the maximum number of school choice slots of one hundred and twenty-five (125) students in grades 7th through 12th for the 2023-2024 school year, capping 7th grade at twenty (20) students, capping 8^th grade at twelve (12) students, with the understanding that preference will be given to students entering grades 7, 8 and 9. The School District held the lottery on April 13th and a waitlist was formed.

Marion and Rochester elected not to participate in School Choice for the 2023-2024 school year.
